<description>Years after stepping away from LinuxOnAndroid, local LLMs finally gave me the leverage to bring the project back to life. Instead of getting bogged down in boilerplate UI code, store listings, and website copy, I used local models to handle the administrative grind so I could focus entirely on the core technical challenge: refining the PRoot environment and getting modern Linux distributions running smoothly on mobile hardware. In this video, we take a look at the history of LinuxOnAndroid from the early XDA days to its peak, why marketing departments ruined the term "AI", how local tooling fits into real development workflows, and why code generation never replaces engineering responsibility.
